![]() ![]() Enjoy Planetside 2 it doesn't always come together right, but when it does it's a blast. I'd be very eager to see what Planetside 2's dev team could do with a blank slate and modern engine, unburdened by years of ancient spaghetti code and monetization strategies. Perhaps now the time is right for the development of Planetside 3. With more powerful hardware available we now see some video games use whole planets as their play space, and there's been a growing demand for shooter games with bigger and grander game scopes. And after nine years the technology and marketplaces of videogames have changed. The game is not without its flaws and after nine years of content creep the game's age is certainly showing, but the dev team have been trying their hardest to keep the ship afloat and make a good experience. Planetside 2 leaves room for capable single players or small groups to have that sort of impact, if they're skilled and clever enough. it's tricky for a game to both pile a huge number of people into one fight while still leaving room for individuals to make decisive actions in those same fights. That critical Sunderer holding a fight together, a point flipped in the last moments of an alert, securing the kill on an important enemy vehicle. ![]() Wii bombed on this one. You're exactly correct in that sometimes one player can make all the difference. Bottom line, if you like the PS version stay with that. Thank the universe I only rented it free from a library and only wasted my time and not money. Based on WII performance, if I could give a negative score on this I would chose negative 1 million for my trouble. Also, the Power Strike or whatever, seriously, does the line have to be perfect? Like immaculately perfect in order to use the move? I much prefer a button mash, smack down than a prissy "draw the line and even if the line looks fine it won't work cause the game didn't even recognize you did something." Mind you, I unfortunately rented the Wii version which, as I understand it, practically ruined the playability. Graphics are okay, but the character sound for dialog is way too annoying, all that repeated chirping of the same sounds over and over and over.
